About Epicanthoplasty
Epicanthoplasty is a procedure which widens the aperture of the eyes by methods of excising a small part of the skin in those areas. Medial epicanthoplasty denotes widening at the nasal/medial aspect and, lateral epicanthoplasty denotes widening at the ‘outer’/lateral aspect of the eyes. The procedure is performed under local anesthetic and is completely painless. There is no downtime aside from mild swelling with will resolve over a weeks period.
